The Fresh Ink Group is proud to announce their first annual Next Great Author contest!

This contest runs from January 1st, 2012, to March 31st, 2012.

The winner of this contest will receive a publishing contract with the Fresh Ink Group for their chosen book, be featured on our home page, receive their own webpages in our Author's section, and all the benefits that a Fresh Ink Group author member receives.

Submission requirements:

1. Entries must be received no later than March 31st
2. Each entry must contain no less than 1 and no more than 3 chapters of their book. Submissions must include a synopsis of the book covering all major plot points.
3. All entries must be submitted in a common electronic document format. This includes, but is not limited to: .pdf, .doc, .docx, .txt, .rtf, .odt, .sxw, .sdw, .html, .xml. Optionally, entries may be submitted via regular mail in a printed form, but must be received by the above date. The entry must be printed or typed in a legible, scannable form. Printed submissions will not be returned without a SASE.
4. Entries of any genre or topic will be considered, but we will not consider any entry that contains explicit, adult material, nor any content that discriminates or contains hateful speech toward any race, nationality, ethnic group, gender, orientation, or political affiliation.
5. Entries must be original material that has not been previously published. The author agrees to indemnify the Fresh Ink Group from any liability if the author engages in plagiarism, copyright infringement, or in any  other case that may arise. In other words, make sure what you submit is your own work!
6. By submitting an entry, the entrant agrees that their name, book description, and other information may be used by the Fresh Ink Group for promotional purposes in the event that the entrant wins. The entrant retains all rights to their book, and the chapters therein. The entrant may agree to grant the Freesh Ink Group the right to reproduce the chapters entered for promotional purposes. Declining this grant of rights will not affect the outcome of the contest, nor waive eligiblity
